well, if it was a peace dollar with a date that was 1964,
It may have been worth $450 (to a collector)
Cause that would be some error coin

Ken, IF someone had an AUTHENIC 1964 Peace Dollar, it'd probably be worth something north of a million....

Daniel Carr out of Loveland, CO struck a 1964 Peace dollar, for novelty purposes:

Quote:

1964-D Peace Dollar re-strike. Struck over a Peace dollar dated 1922-1935. Technically this is not a copy because it is a genuine Peace Dollar (over-struck), with a date that (according to the government) does not exist. I have not released any of these, and that will depend on a clarification of certain laws (Im waiting to find out from the government if a COPY stamp is required in cases where a genuine coin is altered to show a date that was never released and/or does not exist):

Aren't they made from Colorado gold specifically?

Here's where to get the 1/10th ozt gold coins. Spot plus $16 for 1 coin, gets better the more you buy. Buy 10 coins and save $30 over the same size CGMs from Provident. I guess it's all in what one really wants.
